YOUNG-HAN NAM received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Ohio State University, Columbus in 2008, and a B.S. and a M.S. from Seoul National University, South Korea, respectively in 1998 and 2002. Since February 2008 he has been working at Samsung Research America at Dallas (SRA-D), Richardson, Texas. He has been engaged in the design, analysis, and standardization of the 3GPP LTE and LTE-Advanced from Release 8 to the current release. In 2014, he was a project leader for full-dimension MIMO system design in SRA-D. His current research interests include MIMO & active antennas, channel modeling, mmWave and heterogeneous networks.
