Sunay is currently the Director/Head of Products for Telecom and Google Distributed Cloud Edge (GDC-E). Before joining Google, Sunay was the CTO/EVP of Product and Engineering at MobiledgeX Inc, a Deutsche Telekom led startup focused on building Edge-Cloud. In the last 4 years, he built the team, strategy and product to bring AI and 5G RAN workloads on distributed infrastructure ranging from Openstack, VMware and Cloud providers. The product was successfully launched commercially with half a dozen tier 1 Telcos in 2020. Before that, Sunay was the founder/CTO of Pluribus Networks where he brought SDN to the industry and grew the company to $MM+ run rate. Pluribus is the last remaining independent SDN company growing in Telco and Tier2 cloud space. His career started in 1996 at Sun Microsystem’s where he was a DE in Solaris Kernel Group and built the early Containers and Virtual Networks. Sunay loves leading talented teams of engineers and product managers and specializes in bringing innovative products to market that meet product/market fit.
