Ricardo Tavares

Ricardo Tavares is a business and policy strategist in global technology markets. He helps businesses to find entry in foreign markets and navigate complex policy and regulatory environments. His clients represent a Who’s Who of the technology industry, with particular strength in wireless technologies. Ricardo was Sr. VP at the GSM Association, the international trade association for mobile operators; Head of Government and Industry Relations (GIR) for Ericsson, and policy strategy consultant for Qualcomm. He has extensive international management experience with projects in over 30 countries on five continents.

He holds a master’s degree in political science from the Rio de Janeiro University Research Institute and completed course work at the Ph.D. level at the University of California, San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS). Ricardo is a member of the Board of Regents of the Harris Manchester College at Oxford University, is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), and is a member of the International Advisory Board of GPS.
