During her 50-year career, Dr. Martha G. Dennis has been a telecommunications technologist, entrepreneur and venture capitalist.  She joined Windward Ventures as a Venture Partner in 2000 and in 1997 Dr. Dennis co-founded and served as President and CEO of WaveWare Communications, a wireless communications company for handhelds.  In 1987 she co-founded and served as Vice President of Engineering of Pacific Communications Sciences, a developer of wireless communications equipment.  She first worked in wireless communications at Linkabit, Inc., where is was Assistant Vice President of Software Engineering.  She serves as board Chair of Netsapiens, Inc., as director of Space Micro, Inc. and as director the Mundoval Fund (MUNDX). 

Dr. Dennis served as Chair of the San Diego Science and Technology Commission, board President of the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, board President of the Bishop's School, board President of Athena San Diego and board President of the San Diego Telecom Council.  She is an Emerita Trustee of Harvey Mudd College. She is on the Dean's Advisory Council of The UCSD Rady School of Management, the UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering Council of Advisors and on the advisory board for CALIT2. She was also a member of the founding Executive Council of the UCSD Center for Wireless Communication. Dr. Dennis holds a doctorate in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University and a B.S. in Mathematics from Smith College.
