PRINCIPAL RESEARCH ENGINEER, DOCOMO INNOVATIONS

Dr. Papadopoulos is a Principal Research Engineer at DOCOMO Innovations, Palo Alto, CA. He leads the Wireless Systems Project effort, whose focus is the study of physical-layer technologies with high-impact potential in the context of wireless networks for 5G and beyond. His general research interests are in the areas of communications and signal processing, with emphasis on resource-efficient algorithms and architectures for wireless communication systems.

Prior to joining DOCOMO, Dr. Papadopoulos was on the faculty of the ECE Department at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD. He holds bachelor’s master’s and doctoral degrees from MIT, Cambridge, MA, all in electrical engineering and computer science.
