Guangyi Liu

Dr. Guangyi Liu is CTO of the Wireless department in the China Mobile Research Institute, where he is in charge of the wireless field, including LTE/LTE-advanced/WLAN and 5G. Previously he worked for China Mobile Communication Corporation, as a Senior Researcher and later Chief Researcher in the Wireless Department. Prior to joining China Mobile in 2006, Dr. Liu was a software engineer with Siemens in China, and an R&D engineer at Alcatel-Lucent. He works on IMT-Advanced MIMO channel model and evaluation methodology in ITU-R. Dr. Liu is the vice chair of technique sub-working group in Chinese IMT-Advanced Promotion Group, vice chair of the CCSA B3G working group, and a member of IEEE and IEICE. Dr. Liu has published more than 50 papers in IEEE journals and conferences. He earned his Ph.D. in Wireless Communication from the Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications in 2006, and his M.S. from the same institution in 2000.
