Etienne Chaponniere currently leads Qualcomm’s involvement in all industry bodies related to the cellular industry. His career spans system engineering for modem implementation, R&D system engineering and standardization where he was a vice chair for the 3GPP layer 2 and protocol group, responsible for the evolution of HSPA. Recently he has been focusing on upcoming wireless technology evolution including in particular 4G evolution, 5G and spectrum sharing.
Etienne holds a MS Telecommunication Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne
