Eugene Chi brings over 24 years of experience and success as a people-oriented, collaborative sales leader in different business segments.
In his 15 years with Microsoft, Eugene has held a number of diverse roles and is known for delivering exceptional results and developing his people. In his current role, Eugene is the General Manager for the Small, Mid-sized business and Distribution for Microsoft across the US West Region, the fastest growing sales segment. Prior to that, he held the role of the Sr District Sales Director in SoCal District and Southwest District, focused on Account Team Unit (ATU) leadership, comprising 5 ATU's / sales teams. He was responsible for a $600 million business focused on key strategic commercial customers Other sales responsibilities include managing a Global Oil & Gas business and a Healthcare team in the Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas markets.
Previous to Microsoft, Eugene has had a diverse set of work experiences having worked in Silicon Valley for 5 years at various software and internet companies including Oracle, where he was Director of Global e-Sales Market Development, Update.Com, a Sales Force Automation/CRM company, and Lycos.com as a Business Development Manager. Other work experiences include sales positions at GTE (now Verizon) and as a Strategic Business Planner for Walt Disney where he structured multi-million dollar entertainment deals.
